Speech and Language Therapist | Over a Decade of Experience
With over a decade of experience, Jun is a Speech and Language Therapist with a diverse clinical background spanning public and private hospitals, community healthcare settings and private clinics.
Her experience across these settings has given her a broad understanding of individuals' needs at different stages of their healthcare journey, from acute intervention to ongoing therapy and community-based support.
Throughout her career, Jun has worked with individuals across different age groups, providing individualised assessment and intervention for a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties.
Jun has extensive experience in assessing and managing a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties, including speech, language, fluency, voice and dysphagia.
She has a particular interest in fluency disorders and early language development, supporting individuals in developing effective communication skills and greater confidence in everyday interactions.
Her approach combines evidence-based practice with therapy that is practical, engaging and tailored to each individual's needs.
Beyond her clinical practice, Jun is actively involved in the education and development of future Speech and Language Therapists.
As an Associate Faculty member in an undergraduate Speech and Language Therapy programme, she contributes to the training of aspiring therapists, drawing on her clinical experience and commitment to evidence-based practice.
Jun also has a background in research, having received two competitive research grants earlier in her career. Her involvement in research continues to shape her clinical reasoning and approach to intervention.
I believe that every individual has unique strengths, needs and goals, and that therapy should reflect these differences.
My approach is client-centred and family-focused, with an emphasis on collaboration, meaningful goals and practical strategies that can be carried over into everyday life.
By working closely with clients and their families, I aim to create a supportive environment where individuals feel encouraged to develop their skills, build confidence and make progress at their own pace.
